Corona Save the Beach are delighted to announce Alicia Esteban as the winner of the trip to Cancun. The work put into portraying the state of her beach is crucial in raising awareness and promoting the preservation of our beaches and we hope this holiday serves as additional motivation to continue her efforts in saving the beach.
Alicia last month submitted La Habana Beach, situated in Adra, Spain and managed to convey the neglect the beach has experienced, littered with rubbish and dispersed construction remains.
While the prize doesn’t actually save La Habana Beach (not now anyway), it’s definitely a step in the right direction to reward people like Alicia who are committed to restoring the natural beauty of the beach.
So now that we’ve chosen a winner for the trip, our next step is to choose a beach to be saved. Please keep sending us your endangered beaches and we’ll decide on the most appropriate beach to save on August 23rd. The more information and pictorial evidence you send, the greater the chance your beach will be saved.
Thank you all for your continued support and a massive congrats to Alicia, have a nice holiday!
