Save the beach

Those of you that have been following the Corona Save the Beach campaign will know that we came up with quite an inventive way to reuse rubbish found scattered across the beaches of Europe – we built a rubbish hotel! Literally. A hotel made almost entirely of rubbish. But do you ever wonder how you could be more constructive and creative in everyday life and become greener in the process?

Picture the scenario, it’s a warm summer day and you’re relaxing in your back garden, perhaps enjoying a bottle of cold Corona. You work your way through a couple of drinks, sensibly. What happens to the empty bottles? Thrown in the bin? Could you have reused them? Could you have done something creative? Here are a couple of ideas that brighten up the household AND can help save our planet; some can be tried at home, some may require professionals…

Try it at home

Bottle Lamps – Makes use of your Christmas tree lights all year round and it looks cool…

Candleholders – Clean the bottle, choose a nice candle, easy.

Plant holders – A nice smelling, colourful plant looks great in a bottle. Don’t forget to water it…

May require outside help

New set of glasses – Check out the polished Corona glasses below. Cuts down on waste and looks good in your kitchen cabinet…

Bottle chandelier – We’ve seen similar things in the past but this really caught our eye

Bottle coatrack – Hopefully you won’t need a coat this summer and where better to leave it than your very own bottle coatrack!
