The ocean tides are capable of creating magnificent and all natural formations that never cease to astonish us. Beaches are a primary example of this, but there are other amazing creations that are certainly worth discovering.
Rock formations that are located in aquatic surroundings are truly breathtaking. At first glance they appear to be something made by mankind, but in reality they are completely natural. They are created by the ocean tides that constantly wash up on the rocks which results in sheer beauty.
Split Apple Rock
The mysterious Split Apple Rock is located in New Zealand. It’s a surreal rock formation that resembles an apple split in half. It’s truly remarkable and definitely a must-see.
The Twelve Apostles
Originally known as “The Apostles”, this fascinating collection of rock stacks is located in Victoria, Australia. Despite the name, there are actually only 9 stacks but this doesn’t make The Twelve Apostles any less remarkable.
Giant’s Causeway
This impressive rock formation is like nothing you’ve ever seen before. It’s the result of a volcanic eruption and consists of interlocking rocks that resemble the cells of a honeycomb.
Percé Rock
Located in the Canadian province of Quebec, this rock formation in size alone is impressive. What’s even more impressive is the small arch that can only be seen during low tides.
These are only a few examples of incredible rock formations. If you know any other amazing formations, share them with us!
