The natural formation of beaches has never ceased to amaze humanity. It is phenomenal how the tides create such a magnificent sandy environment which results in absolute paradise. It is even more spectacular when the outcome of this natural creation is something unimaginable. We have put together a list of some of the most unique beach sands that will surely leave you amazed.
Red Sand Beach
This small beach located in Kaihalulu Bay, Hawaii, as you may have already guessed, it’s famous for its vibrant red sand. The colored sand is caused by the surrounding cinder cone hills that deteriorate into the water. The tinted water then brushes up on the shore and creates the astonishing red sand.
The world’s whitest sand
Located in Australia, Hyam’s Beach is best known for having the world’s whitest sand. The sand looks surreal and absolutely pure. If you’re a fan of pristine white sand then this is the perfect beach for you.
Purple sand
Pfeiffer Beach is located in California. It is known for its astonishing purple beach sand that forms one of kind patterns along the coast. This truly unique sand is caused by minerals being scraped off the surrounding hills and washed up onto shore.
Bowling Ball Beach
Last but not least, this Californian beach is not specifically known for its sand, but instead for the enormous boulders that cover the coast. There are thousands of round boulders, all alike in size, and positioned with similar spacing. The most astonishing part is that this was all done naturally.
